Finally!

Well, as you'll see in this video, Hobbs is finally crawling. He's still just getting the hang of it, but we're beginning to wonder why we were so eager for him to become mobile! There's no resting anymore, we have a baby to chase after!

Silly Guy

Uh-oh! Hobbs is already saying "no"! :) Actually, he just shakes his head "no" sometimes, and I actually was able to record it tonight.

Hobbs was "getting" Grampy when he was here the other night and trying to out-yell him in a yelling match. :)

Fun Day

We had a fun day today visiting friends while Daddy & Grampy went golfing. We didn't take any pictures with Jared, but here is a picture of Ali, Drew, and Hobbs. Hobbs had so much fun with Ali & Drew-he gets kind-of bored with Mommy & Daddy sometimes! :)

Hobbs thought Drew was hilarious and giggled at Drew a lot. Of course I didn't get his best giggling recorded, but this is still cute.

Usually when we turn on Hobbs's basketball goal he dances and claps. Of course this time he only clapped, but at least he did that! :)

Busy Weekend...

Nine Month Appointment

Hobbs went in for his 9-month appointment last Thursday. Here's the report...

Weight 23lbs, 75th percentile

Height 29in., 75th percentile

Head Circumference 51cm, off the charts (what can we say, he's got Mommy's head!)

So, obviously Hobbs is starting to even out between weight and height. We really thought he would weigh a lot more than that, but he's just very solid. Everything looks good and the doctor gave the go-ahead to start feeding him some table food, soft stuff like pancakes, mashed potatoes, etc. We're just so thankful that he is a very healthy little boy!

We love this outfit that Grandma and Aunt Lyndsay picked out for Hobbs. He looks like he just stepped out of a JCrew (for chubby babies) catalog! :)

I think Hobbs must have seen his cousin McKenna helping her Mommy & Daddy unload the diswasher, and now he wants to be like her and help too. If only he could stand up like her, it might help a little! :)

An Old Favorite...

Hobbs will be 9 months old next week and it's so hard to believe!!! I was looking through some of our older videos of him and realized that this website wasn't around to post them on at the time. I know many have seen this video, but it is still my very favorite! It's hard to believe that he was only about 5 months old at the time of the video, making it four months ago that he had his first real laughing spell! :)

Hobbs is still crawling backwards and backed his way under the kitchen table today and then couldn't quite figure out how to get out. He was okay to start with, but Mommy had to save him in the end! :) Hmm...what have I gotten myself into? It should be okay...
Still okay...not sure what the next step should be...

Five Years

Today Brandt and I are celebrating our fifth anniversary. It's crazy to think it's already been that long and we are so thankful for what each year and this year has brought us. Enjoy this little montage of the 2 of us...

Hobbs wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th, but Mommy was a little late in getting the picture on. I tried to get a smile for the camera, but the grass was just too interesting to take his eyes off of! :)

Hobbs loves his rainforest. He turned it on after a nap last week, and he was so cute when we caught him just hanging out watching it!
