Go Wildcats!

With the Wildcats having such a great season so far and being ranked #12 right now, I am posting a fun picture from last year. When Hobbs went to his first KSU football game in 2008, we ran into some of the basketball players. They were nice enough to pose with Hobbs! While Ron Anderson (in the middle) is no longer at K-State, Dominic Sutton and Jacob Pullen-without his beard in this picture-are 2 of the best players on the team this year. Go State! :)

Look How He's Changed!

I decided it would be fun to take a look back at Hobbs's Christmas card pictures over the past 3 years. I can't believe how quickly time has flown by! It seems like yesterday that I was propping my little 2 month old up on the couch in his Christmas pajamas for his very first Christmas card picture. (sniff sniff) He has grown and changed so much, but is still such a sweet little boy and I can't believe it, but I love him more each and every day!

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas! I'm so sad it's over, but now we can look forward to a new year and all it brings. Despite major weather concerns, we were able to make it Rose Hill for 2 days, and then up to Basehor for 2 more days. Thankfully, the snow cooperated and seemed to slow down just for us and our travels. We were all incredibly spoiled by the gifts we received, but we know we are spoiled everyday to have the wonderful family we have. Here are just a few pictures from our Christmases with the Nelsons and Hutchinsons.

McKenna & Rhett enjoying their new blankets and big bear. :)

McKenna wasn't the only one who liked her new jewelry box and necklaces... (He'll love me someday for this picture.)

Oh yeah, lovin' the Magneatos!

Grandma's Christmas ornaments are so fun!

Time to Get Caught Up!

Wow! I've been slacking BIG TIME since Thanksgiving with the blog. Between flu bugs, sinus infections, visiting friends & family, decorating for Christmas, buying gifts, enjoying some snow days, chasing a busy boy around, and work, there just hasn't been enough time in the day for the blog. :) Here are a few pictures to catch you all up on the past few weeks. A few of these were posted on my Facebook page, so sorry for the repeats if you're seeing them twice. :)

Thanksgiving

I don't know why we've had such bad luck with holidays, but we were all sick with colds and coughs throughout the entire Thanksgiving weekend. We did, however, get some pictures of Hobbs, McKenna, and Rhett on Saturday. They are all so fun together right now! :) We couldn't get a posed picture of the 3, but there are still some fun ones of them.

Halloween Pictures

Well, since Hobbs was sick on Halloween, I unfortunately don't have any pictures of him. However, I was proud of the pumpkins I carved-especially the Wildcat-so I thought they deserved a spot on the blog. I know it's INCREDIBLY late, but better late than never, right? :)

Fall Fun

A Wildcat win and a bunch of leaves...no wonder this boy is so happy! :)

A Visit From Muna

On Friday, Hobbs and I made a quick trip to Rose Hill to see my cousin, her husband, and their daughter, Muna. Hobbs and Muna are 4 days apart, so it was fun to see how alike they are. They were pretty good too, which is surprising since they are both 2 years old. :) They even had a joint belated birthday celebration with small cupcakes. It was great to see them!

The Greatest Gift I Ever Received

As most of you know, Hobbs's birthday is the day before mine. As I look back on the past 30 years (yikes!) of my life, I know I've gotten so many wonderful gifts and am blessed everyday with my family and friends and people I've met along the way. Nothing has compared to the past 2 years of my life though and I know that Hobbs is an unbeatable gift! I am so lucky to have a such a sweet, wild, crazy, energetic, fun little boy who has such a unique personality. His spirit is contagious. While he has his moments (which I'm sure will get even more fun during the next year-terrible twos, oh no!), he is such a precious part of my life that I am thankful for every day!

The Party!

We celebrated Hobbs's birthday on Saturday in Manhattan with our families. What a great day it was!

Hobbs loved the balloons we got for decoration. :)

McKenna wasn't quite sure about the slide. It was a little steep, so I don't blame her!

Anything with buttons is good for Hobbs!

McKenna and Hobbs playing...

And still...

Hobbs racing Aunt Lyndsay. She can be a speed demon, so I don't know if he should be watching her drive! :) Hee hee!

Rhett took a turn at driving too! He was great!

The Morning of the Party

Hobbs insisted on eating some of the extra unfrosted cupcakes Saturday morning. I figured they were close to the same thing as a muffin, so what's the problem? The problem was, that instead of eating 1 muffin, he claimed all four by just biting the top. Silly boy! :)
