"Nenna"

Hobbs is obsessed with watching videos on the laptop. He especially like videos of his cousins and always points to the computer and says "Nenna" meaning McKenna. I finally got it on video. :)

Too Smart...

Hobbs really wanted to go outside yesterday, but it was just too hot and I kept telling him no. He got really upset, but I finally got him playing with something else. Shortly after, our cat was meowing crazily at the door, so I let her out. I noticed Hobbs watching this. I quickly closed the door and tried to get back to him where we had been playing. However, Hobbs got up, walked over to the door, pointed to it, and while looking right at me said "mouw?" It had worked for Hosie, so he thought he should give it a try! :)

The Bear Chair

Hobbs love bears, or as he says "beh". Teddy goes everywhere with us, but he loved the big bear at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Water Bug

Squirt guns rock!

He loved kicking his feet.

The smile says it all. :)

Loves for Mommy

Whoa, I don't remember Jack Nicholson making an appearance... :)

Staying Cool

With the heat, we've had to get pretty creative with inside activities. Hobbs loses interest quickly, but he sure does love his bubbles! :) Here's a rare picture of him staying still.

Yuck!

Okay, so apparently Hobbs and I are just trying to get sick. First of all, we went to Rose Hill this past weekend and we were outside playing. Hobbs is obsessed with picking up the rocks in Grandma and Grandpa's driveway and so we do that a lot. However, he came around the car and I noticed that what he was holding did not quite look like a rock and seemed to have some fuzz on it. Well, it was in fact not a rock but a dead mouse (or shrew-not quite sure). Either way I freaked out, yelled at him to drop it (which thankfully he did, since God knows I didn't want to touch it), and took him inside to wash his hands. Eeewwww!!! You've gotta love the country and cats around the house!

When we got home, I made a quick stop at the gas station to pick up a bag of ice. I threw away our Wendy's trash, then went in to get the ice...but I realized I had no keys. I looked in the car (several times!) but found no keys. I remembered that it had been an awfully big thud when I threw the trash away...grrrr! So, I asked for a pair of plastic gloves and started digging through the large gas station trashcan filled with all kinds of wonderful goodies. Of course, it was full.(Hobbs was strapped into his carseat the whole while-I didn't need his help!) A big hairy biker with black leather and a doo rag (one of those that would normally seem a little scary) and his biker chick were so nice and came to help me sort and got another bag for me to transfer the trash to. Well, long story short, the keys were not in the trashcan-ugh!-but then my biker hero came up with the idea to lift the trashcan out of the holder and see if the keys had somehow slipped through the cracks on the side! He lifted and there they were!!! It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever had to do (and I got quite a few stares from people coming and going) but it all washed off. I guess there are 2 things to be learned from this story: 1. Don't judge someone right away-they may not be what you think. 2. Don't be a dummy and throw your keys in the trash!!! :)

Kids Can Be Silly... :)

Warning: What you are about to see is the result of too much sugar! :) They were watching Imagination Movers "Shakable You" song and McKenna is yelling, "I Wanna Shake It!!!"

I don't know where he comes up with some of his ideas...

Paging Dr. Hobbs...

Hobbs was a bit under the weather last week and had a slight fever (most likely due to teething-poor guy!) Needless to say, he was not very happy about having to get his temperature taken. However, once he was feeling better, he decided the thermometer was actually a pretty fun "toy". :)

Outside Fun (Before it got so hot!)

Friends

Hobbs had lots of fun with his friend Dylan the other night. He was a good sharer and even shared the recliner with Dylan. :) Silly boys...

Watching Movers

Cheesy grins

Water Fun

With this weather, the only way to be outside is with a little water! Here is Hobbs his first time in the sprinkler and then having fun with water guns.

Busy Busy Busy!

Our new toybox in the living room apparently has 2 purposes:
1. To store the toys in
2. To sit in with Teddy

Hmmm, up to no good before we're even changed out of PJs.

"What, you think I did this?"

Serious Gardener

Brandt took some great pictures of Hobbs "gardening" tonight. Some of his facial expressions cracked me up! He was serious about getting that stem off that leaf! :)

Please!

We are trying to get Hobbs to use manners and say please when he wants something. It's so funny how overexaggerated his pleases are though! :)

Funny Cousin

Hobbs was watching a video of his cousin McKenna and thought it was hilarious. He laughed harder the first few times he watched it, but you can see how funny he thinks she is. I love how he mimics her little giggle by putting his hand on his mouth like McKenna does. :)
