Hobbs has been getting more and more independent all the time and has really wanted to start trying to feed himself. This is great, we know, but the problem with it is that Hobbs is a thrower. So, self feeding is a learning experience not only for Hobbs, but also for myself. While he is learning to eat with a fork and a spoon, I am learning that it's okay for things to get messy and that they can be cleaned up. Not that the house is super-clean already, but it's hard to think about gooey cheese, sticky syrup, and red ketchup ending up on floors (thank goodness they are wood and easy to clean) and walls! :) Today I decided to let him try feeding himself mac & cheese on his own. He was doing a pretty good job, so I did some quick cleaning while he was eating and returned a few seconds later to find:
Mac & cheese had been dumped off the plate. You can see him trying to get the last few noodles off. (He knows what he's doing!) :)

Squishing the mac & cheese to get it nice and smashed up.

Giving a little smile as if he knows it drives me a little crazy! :) It's a good thing he's cute!

Being a parent is definitely a learning experience. It's a fun one though and one full of laughs. It's crazy how quickly he's growing. He had his 15 month dr. appt. yesterday. Here are the stats:
Weight: 26 lbs., 8oz.
(75th percentile)Height: 34 in.
(75th percentile)Head Circumference: 54cm
(I didn't even ask percentile this time considering it's been off the charts every other time)
