Well, Hobbs has never failed to entertain us, but as he grows up and is able to talk, he becomes even more hilarious! :) A few of my favorite recent stories:
Hobbs constantly asks, "What happened?" Usually he asks about a mess he has made and that we are cleaning up. The other day I left the room, with him reading a book. He came into the kitchen to join me about a minute later. When I went back into the room where he had been alone, I found our portable DVD player ripped apart. When I say ripped, I mean the cover that holds the DVD in was completely ripped off. I'm not sure if it will work again, it's such a mess! As I was trying to fix it, I felt him come up beside me and watch my every move. Then in a quiet voice, all he said was, "What happened?" as if I were the culprit!!!
Hobbs loves his new babysitter Nancy (or "Nanty" as he calls her) and always talks about her. One night he was throwing a fit about something and screaming and I told him to stop and that I wasn't going to listen until he could talk in a normal way. To that, he pointed his finger at me and said, "No Mommy. I want Nanty!" All I could do was smile. :)
Hobbs's first word was "ball" so anything in the shape of a circle has always been a ball. I've tried over and over again to get him to say "circle" (or "kircle in Hobbs), but he insists on calling the shape a ball. He loves to color and the other night he drew a nice round object on his paper. I said, "Wow! That's a really good ball, Hobbs!" He looked at me and said, "No, kircle." Oh yeah. Silly Mommy.

Hee hee. They're so fun when they can talk. I can't wait to hear the conversations he, McKenna, and Rhett have some day. How fun!
P.S. I can't believe he broke the DVD player we got you. :)
Love the stories!
